Review on Premium Aluminum Tape Foil for Professional Contractors by Michael Schafer

The item arrived quickly, in good condition and as described by the seller. I used it to cover an unused vent that appears to be letting in smoke from other apartments in the building (non-smoking building, and of course NOBODY smokes). It seems to be working so far. When I first started this the backing was so difficult to remove and I thought maybe there is NO sticky side and I had to tape it in place. But I finally figured out the trick and was able to pull it off. Then I realized I almost had to peel it off over my vent as the tape curled VERY easily once the backing was removed and trying to peel off the twisted tape could rip it. Eventually I hit the groove and like I said it seems to keep smoke out and insulate from cold/heat (and possibly bugs). I would recommend, especially for the price, but the buyer should be aware that this is a bit of a learning curve for someone who might not be a weekend carpenter and uses materials.
