I bought this lens mainly for freshwater and marine aquarium photography. I love photography, but since I'm new to this hobby, I'm not even trying to give a really technical overview of this lens, just sharing a few photos of its use. Two days ago an anemone shrimp in one of my tanks that had been spawning for a while must have hatched an hour or two after the lights went out for the night. In short, I managed to save some of them from becoming fish food. Keep in mind that photos of newly hatched shrimp are not only taken through the glass of a dirty swamp, but also in poor light, not to mention I have to keep them in a thick zippered bag in that swamp. With that in mind, looking through these shrimp shots you can imagine how capable this lens is. It's VERY DIFFICULT to focus, but I'm sure my shots will improve with practice. The images are in RAW format, so it was easier for me to just cut and paste the screenshots into a bitmap instead of doing all the processing!
