This is a versatile grilling and smoking thermometer. It's cheaper than the more expensive one I had but has a lot more features. 6 probes are included for starters. You can connect them all at once, but I'm not sure why you need it. The best advantage is that the probes used for smoking usually wear out, so you can get additional services here. The probes can check oven/smoker temperature or food temperature. In the first case, these are cones with two clips to attach them to the grill. The thermometer itself has a decent display, but not great. It runs through the various connected probes. The real way to use this is with an app and a bluetooth connection. I recommend downloading the app in advance to get an idea of the possibilities. The app is pretty good, with temps for chicken, pork, smoked, etc. You can set high and low alarms and it will sound if the probe or your phone is disconnected. Connection wise, mine worked from almost anywhere in the house, which is better than my previous thermometer. The thermometer has a hook and magnets that are handy for attaching to the grill.
