My kids love them but 3 out of 4 were broken

Our kids couldn't wait to get this toy. They all quickly attached a ball to their wrists and then, almost as quickly, 2 out of 4 were broken. The elastic cord snapped on both, I used the leftover cord to tie them together and it worked fine. The third came out in the same place as the previous two, so I think the way it's attached to the ball isn't the best for this type of toy. Otherwise my children play 5, 6, 12, 14 all. with rubber ball.
