Broke on first use

I bought this for my 9 year old daughter who plays softball so she can work on her hand eye coordination. One of the strings literally snapped the first time she used it and she didn't play it the way it was supposed to. We wanted to give others as gifts, but I didn't want another one to break once she gave it away and embarrass her.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Bad experience

My kids love them but 3 out of 4 are broken

Our kids couldn't wait for this toy to arrive. then 2 of 4 broke almost as quickly. The elastic cord broke on both, I used the remaining cord to tie them together and it worked fine. The third came out in the same place as the previous two, so I think the way it's attached to the ball isn't the best for this type of toy. Otherwise my children play 5, 6, 12, 14 all. with rubber ball.

Pros
  • Best in their niche
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

great idea and works with some adjustments

This ball idea is great and I bought it to keep my 4 year old busy! Did my job! I adjusted the length of the elastic and now it fits him perfectly! Went shopping at outlets and kept my kids busy ;o) My 4 year old is a little keeper and this will help him with his coordination too! One star less because of the quality! 2 of them broke in no time! On the same day! However, I was able to fix them by using a sharp long piece of thin wood to push the elastic back in and tie a knot! so no big deal!

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Secret

Tool for escapism

In his essay "Toys", Roland Barthes states that all children's toys are imitations of things that adults do and are used to, for example a series of games with medical instruments, which reflect the game of a real doctor. . The amazing thing about these bracelets is their ability to completely subvert the notion that toys are meant to teach and that toys should reflect some sort of adulthood meaning. Instead, having the ball on the wrist reassures the child that play can be done alone and…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence

Our kids couldn't wait to get this toy. They all quickly attached a ball to their wrists and then, almost as quickly, 2 out of 4 were broken.
