Review on πŸ“Ά EnGenius EAP300 Business-Class High-Power Wireless-N 300Mbps Access Point with WDS Bridge Functionality by Michael Gilmartin

While a great device

I've had the EAP300 running for a few days now and while its setting is a bit annoying (default 192.168.1.1, that's where my router is) after I set a dynamic IP address for it, everything worked fine. It's attractive, comes with a power supply (if you don't have POE, which I don't) and a mounting ring with drywall screws and anchors. Tip: To factory reset your device, press the wrench button at the top for more than 10 seconds. (I didn't see this in the documentation but looked it up online.) I had to do this because I had set a static IP address that wasn't working before I realized it was stupid for a home network and did it just like that set it to use dhcp. Keep in mind this is an access point, not a router - perfect for what I wanted, but it might be confusing for some homeowners. The signal strength is MUCH better than my old Buffalo WHR-300HP or my even older D-Link DIR-655. I'm glad I made the investment. To be honest, at $89, it's well worth the house with a TD.
