Fits my 12 honda rancher 420 like it came from the factory. I took the advice of one of the reviews I had read and used a washing machine to take it out a bit because of the noise. Not sure if the padding helped or if some people are just picky, but it's not loud at all. Oh I used blue Loctite for the screws for two reasons, firstly because I read in a review that one of the mounting ears was cracked and with the washers I can't get a flush install. So far so good, no problems with the starter. In addition, the original starter is quite expensive.
