The starter screams like a banshee but that's easily fixed by putting a washer in front of each starter bolt and it sounds like a factory starter. Seller should put washers with instructions and it will be better than original OEM listing.

The spline tip has been ground to match the length of the OEM spline. The electrical connector guard must be rotated 45 degrees to secure the connection. The starter cranked the engine well. The noise was typical of the original. Note that the original stater only lasted 48 hours!

Installation was successful. Noted a review that suggested shims and checked the stock length on a new block. It was actually about 1/8 inch longer than the original. I added shims and the starter works fine and is very quiet. If it lasts two years now, it's at least as good as the original.

This appetizer has been great for about 2 months. Then it started to pull and won't start the wheel. Well I sent Amazon a review of the product saying it stopped working and they sent me a replacement there! It's really great to be able to send replacements there, so if yours broke don't buy a new one, get a replacement!

Starter received a few days earlier than promised. (+) I tested the starter before installing it to make sure it would work with my charger and it worked fine. (+) I installed it upside down the first time, but corrected it and everything went fine. (+) This was the easiest repair I've ever had.

Fits my 12 honda rancher 420 like it came from the factory. I took the advice of one of the reviews I had read and used a washing machine to take it out a bit because of the noise. Not sure if the padding helped or if some people are just picky, but it's not loud at all. Oh I used blue Loctite for the screws for two reasons, firstly because I read in a review that one of the mounting ears was cracked and with the washers I can't get a flush install. So far so good, no problems with the starter.

Installed and working for about a month. Practice delivering food to remote cages in the sanctuary on a daily basis. Lots of stops and restarts. The block was fairly easy to install, but the installation was done with washers to keep the block's splined driveshaft from going too far into the engine.
