Der Manufacturer suggests slits are adjustable, but that is a delusion. You adjust the spacing between the slots by gluing more felt onto the existing felt. When finished this stand will not fit a MacBook or iPad as shown in the image - you will need to glue the extra felt strips provided to the existing felt. This might seem like a great solution at first, but I have a feeling it won't last. Gluing felt to felt doesn't seem like a long term solution and I expect to be replacing this pad within a year.
