At first the harness was a bit big for my 4 month old kitten but I managed to fit it. So now she has room to grow. I initially let her wear it at home for a while as another reviewer suggested and it helped her get used to wearing it outside. However, as someone else said, there is no such thing as an escape-proof cat harness. My kitten managed to escape from this harness at least twice!
