This cable successfully connects the GoPro External Mic Adapter to your GoPro HERO8 Black camera (unlike almost all other USB-C extension cables) . In fact, I was able to cascade two of these to achieve a 2m distance between the microphone adapter and the camera. However, this does not suit my needs as I would like to be able to rotate the camera with the cable connected. It's too thick and rigid for that, and the connector that plugs into the camera has a 1.5-inch hard plastic grip. After a few twists and turns, I think the USB-C connector on the camera is being ripped out.
