I don't know what the second tape recorder cable is for but it works fine with my Olympus M 40-150mm F4.0-5.6 R zoom lens The lens cap is now secure on the body of mine OM-D EM-5 attached and came with a bonus lens cloth. Can not complain. I've almost lost my lens cap several times while incredibly lucky hiking some rather unusual trails, the last time I dropped it near a rock to keep it from rolling a few feet off a ledge. I thought my lucky streak would end soon.
