Review on Purolator PBL14461 PurolatorBOSS Premium Filter by Jae Newton

The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the packaging it comes in falls apart pretty easily, it's flimsy. I use them with regular or hybrid oil on our 2013 Chrysler 300 and new 2017 Kia Soul and with synthetic oil on my 2012 Goldwing. I keep several of these filters in the trunk of my car so when I change my oil I put them in these oil filters. I've been watching YouTube videos about oil filters for a lot longer than I care to admit. Silicone seals, antisiphon and bypass valves, various adhesives, fabric mounts are some of them. If you've seen those videos of people cutting them up after use, you know that most filters are generally only good for a short time and then switch to a bypass valve pretty quickly. I change the oil in my cars every 5,000 miles and from what I've been able to find out about this filter it looks like it's been filtering fine for that long. As well as the box it comes in the filter itself, has a nice hard case and looks high quality. Oil change places are usually impressed by this and watch for a while before installing it. I'm a fan of quality oil filters, much more so than the type of oil you use. Not really matter.
