We got this for our exuberant pit bull. First let me say our pit mix is STRONG! He loves to pull and jump and only has 100% muscle mass. It can drag a 250-pound person across the floor. We knew we would need an extremely strong cable to keep it from tearing/chewing. we chose this one. Let me tell you, this dog runs at full speed ahead of every human and animal he sees, and he's never broken! We had it for probably 5 months before he pulled it and the yard post out of the ground and it was lost. When we wanted to buy a new one we bought 2 more of these (just to make it a little longer for our large garden). We've had this one for a few months and he's survived all conditions, the boisterous pit bull and our new boxer. I DEFINITELY recommend this to EVERYONE but especially if you have a wild and strong dog.
