This Renaissance wax worked very well on the wooden stocks and blued barrels of my rifles and pistols. It glides on smoothly and dries quickly, leaving a very thin finish that can be wiped off and buffed to a high shine in just seconds after application. I was able to easily remove light wax residue in the tiny cracks with a clean, soft-bristled toothbrush. The thin coating that this wax provides lasts quite a long time and together with the coat of gun oil I think it should provide good protection against rusting and pitting on the finish of my gun during long term storage. Since only a small amount of this wax is required, a small 65ml container should suffice for a long time.
