Makes a ticking noise, I hope this is normal. It appears to pump fuel like the original

Waaaaaaaa! My 88 Hawk is flying again Updated 11/21/20 Ride 6-8 times a month, 20-100km a day, leisurely. The pump has worked without problems for over 2500 km. It makes a noise that gets louder when you're low on fuel and need to shift to reserve. I stopped it once because I dried out on the main. I pulled it out calmly, switched to reserve, hit the magic button and my Hawk started instantly. Drove to the nearest gas station and learned to watch for ticks, like a warning to go under. I'm considering replacing it before it fails because I'm not sure how long the Chinese pump will last, but since people seem to get a good pump or a bad one, I'm tempted to leave the sleeping dogs behind . I mean, that's why I'm paying for AAA, right?

Pros
  • . Specially designed for quiet operation. OSIAS pumps do NOT whine like other aftermarket fuel pumps; Direct replacement for stock CBR600F Hurricane, CBR600F3 and CBR600F4 fuel pump (some F2 without fuel pump); Exactly the same performance compared to the original;
Cons
  • Mostly ok, but...
