Review on UPANBIKE Rest Handlebar Aero Bar for Road and Mountain Bikes – Time Trial Cycling TT Bar – Lightweight 31.8mm Clamps – Ideal for Triathlon by Kevin Williams

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Error in cup design. Metal nozzles scratch/sin on existing bars. Cannot be used on 7/8 " bars.

The screw mounts in the armrests are in the wrong direction from the holes in the mounting bar. They are oriented vertically, not horizontally, so they only fit in 1 of the 2 holes can poke a screw, causing them to come loose. Also, all the metal fasteners will scratch existing handlebars - instantly. The destruction will cause the existing bars to rust and instantly make your bike look horribly unarmored. Go. They'll also scratch their own product's extension cords. The Fine tuning leaves scratches on a new product before it's installed! 8" bars, bar ends and bar extensions they just don't fit. It would be great to add a little rubber pad. TBF, the description states that a minimum size of three should be specified. I only wish they had included another smaller pad. Glad they didn't as I was able to convince myself to keep them despite the cups puckering and pads being too small etc. But as NOTHING works for me three should be returned. Thank goodness, because any further customization or returns are just obscure, horrible scratches already left behind. Here's a trick to make installation easier: use a small piece (masking tape or other tape) to hold the metal standoffs. on site during installation. You'll save yourself a lot of frustration this week. You can also try lining the inside of the spacers with tape or something to try and minimize scratches on the existing bars during installation and adjustment. Do the same with the cotton holding these extensions. All in all I advise against the purchase as the cups were not finished correctly, at least in the set I received. Also, I now know that I would prefer the fasteners to be made of durable plastic. , no metal so it won't ruin my existing handlebars or those extensions. Finally, measure your steering wheel. I couldn't find a hack to keep them on a 7/8" handlebar. TBF, they listed the MINIMUM size. I just wish they had padding to make it smaller.
