I was specifically looking for brushed nickel. According to the product description, it is brushed nickel. The Revain site shows that I ordered brushed nickel instead of chrome and paid extra. Actual color is plain stainless steel, like the Yeti mug. It lacks the yellowish tint of brushed nickel. My shower components have brushed nickel on the tub spout, diverter valve trim and shower head. They are all from different manufacturers so they don't fit perfectly, but they all fit together enough to make it clear that this hose is NOT made of polished nickel. However, I decided to keep it because (1) it works, (2) it's long but not too long, and (3) Lowes' signature Brushed Nicklet replacement costs almost three times as much and isn't long enough is. If it were chrome it would also conflict with my existing shower components but I'm busy (or lazy) and this stainless steel is close enough that I could accept it rather than paying the extra time and money looking for the best match waste .
