Strong magnet but not suitable for doors that open and close constantly.
First I used an anchor in the wall. The magnet was so strong when my 7 year old first closed the door that the part that goes in the door ripped out of the door. So I put an anchor in the door (not a wooden door) the next time my 7 year old tried to close the door the anchor flew and everything out of the wall! The magnet is definitely strong and holds the door open well. I think I would recommend it for a door that stays open all the time and doesn't close.
