This bumper keeps my little one from getting pinched between her arms and legs as she is 7 months old and doesn't know how to get them out and will be crying. I know there has been a lot of controversy about bumpers, but this one is perfect! It fits snugly and is even tall enough to fit between the mattress and the rails, so it's very secure. It's mesh (mine is grey) and no padding and I love it! I have a crib with a fixed end, but I was able to fit it even between the last bar and the fixed end due to the way my crib is made.
