Review on HD Multimedia LCD Display, ViewSonic VG2021M by Robert Merito

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great display overcomes some shortcomings

I just replaced my CRT with a ViewSonic VG2021m 20" LCD and overall it's ok but not perfect. In fact I was debating whether to give it three or four stars but in the end I settled on three, although the most important thing is to ensure a good display. The monitor does and this display is nice, sharp and bright. The display itself would have gotten five stars. However, there are issues with the monitor. The built-in speakers are worse than expected : They are significantly weaker and smaller than the ones in my laptop, and external speakers are almost a must Mount the monitor conveniently on its stand To get the user manual, all you have to do is install the software from the CD (the one that is outdated version of Acrobat Reader on your computer to make things a bit clearer). see manual. Don't you think you need a manual for the monitor? The d I also respect that until I actually try to set it up, and this brings me to my biggest criticism of the monitor. I know ViewSonic wants their monitors to look modern, but they minimized all controls (except for the power button). ) to a row of five tiny buttons on the right edge of the case. They are not labeled and are not intuitive. What they actually do is go through a series of menus, and you have to work with them in a very precise order and in a short amount of time to get everything you want to do (including adjusting the speaker volume). My life has seen the worst attitudes to contend with. I bought the monitor online as an accessory for a new computer. I like the resolution of the monitor, but too many flaws to recommend it unconditionally. I recommend this monitor for its excellent picture quality. However, if I had to do it again I would probably buy a different product.

Pros
  • THIS IS A GREAT LCD MONITOR FOR THE PRICE. THIS SHOULD BE RATING 10 STARS.
Cons
  • little things
