Definitely a must have if you cook a little in the kitchen. We already have some wooden and plastic boards but this one was a bit unique so I decided to give it a try. It works like a dream! This is the only cutting board we currently use. Problems with other boards lie in their size and texture. So many times I cut something and it falls off the cutting board, and 10 seconds later, when it's time to add them to the pan, my freshly cut mushrooms "stick" to the wooden board. If your cutting board is even slightly damp, your ingredients will often stick to it. Aside from that, it has small bulges that help it avoid this. So when you tilt to slide everything into the pan, it slides down much easier. Size is also greatly appreciated. I can cut a lot more and keep them on the board without using a bowl or just putting them on the counter. And finally, the folding feature is the best. Simply flex the sides as you approach the stove and you'll greatly reduce the chance of dropping anything and make transferring from the board to the pan easier. The presence of rubber feet on the bottom is also very comfortable to grip. . If you're skeptical, do yourself a favor and give it a try. Even my wife, who doesn't like spending an extra five cents when she DON'T need it, loves this thing very much and uses it exclusively.
