Many write negative reviews about this product. I noticed that they all have one thing in common, they claim that the product caused the caulk to fly out of the back of their caulking tube/can. I don't think this is the result of this weapon. I don't think these people knew that you have to break the inner seal of the seal. The pistol has a small needle protrusion that can be unscrewed from below. Use this to break the "seal" that is *inside* the seal tube after you've successfully cut the tip to the desired angle/width. Almost every photo left with a negative rating looks like the user forgot to break the seal. So when they started pumping the handle to squeeze out the sealant it just built up pressure instead and the breaking point was the back of the hose which has to slide up/down. Otherwise the product works as intended. Ignore the vast majority of negative reviews.
