The best satellite receiver I've ever had.

This is a real premium device. When programs are burned to DVD via the S-Video output, the picture is compressed horizontally so that when viewed on your TV in 'Stretch' or 'Fill' mode you get a FULL picture with no side clipping. I don't know how many programs the "Search" function can withstand, I have up to 14 and I'm counting. The search guide is designed for 7 days in advance. The picture quality is good like everywhere. HD output doesn't go to 1080p, but there are VERY few monitors out there that can handle it. It took me almost a year to persuade DirecTV to use it with a £3 dish (I only get 5 HD channels) but the overall quality and features are worth it.
