Works great: Remotes

I bought these 2 remotes knowing I would need to program them into my car either by the dealer or an experienced locksmith. I went to a local trusted locksmith (Olympia WA) and I'm very pleased that they were able to program them easily. They charged me $40+tax for programming both sets of remotes/keys. You need at least one working original remote to program new remotes. To program the hard keys, I also bought them separately, copied and pasted them (2 replacement keyless keys, wireless keyless key, emergency insert, uncut blank blade with transponder chip for Smart Prox), since the keys that came with these remotes will not have a chip in the key slot. . You will need this if your remote control batteries are too weak or dead to access and drive the car when the remote control batteries are dead. I'm happy with these remotes, but it's a shame they don't come with programmable hardware buttons that only cost $9 for 2, which is why I'm rating these remotes a 4 out of 5. From the photos; The image on the left shows remote controls with buttons at the top. The buttons in the top right corner are what originally came with the remotes. The buttons on the left are programmable buttons that are sold separately. The picture on the right shows two different keys. The right one originally came with remote controls. The key on the left is the separately available programmable key (note the installed programmable chip). Hope that helps.
