I bought this seat for my 16 year old Husqvarna YTH1542XP tractor. The seat quality is better than the original. The black color also looks better than the stock color. The base of the seat is made of plastic (unlike the standard seat, which is made of steel). It is drilled with holes (similar to) Nutserts; Metal threaded inserts. They are 5/16"-18tpi. The Husqy seat has two bolts in the middle for mounting, so of course none of them matched. What I did was cut off the bottom of the stock seat. It's steel. One nasty job but it was finished. Mark it with painters tape and get to work. Do it outside. Next I made a screw hole template on the new seat. I used a paper bag. The seat panel and drilled four holes. Done. Screw the old cool plate onto the new seat. Screw the old steel plate/new seat onto the car and you're done!
