It does the job, for the most part
I purchased this gate because I have two round banisters and refuse to drop holes in them. It was a little more complicated to install. Opening and closing the gate is more challenging than I would like being that I have older children. Squeezing and lifting the gate at the same time while aligning the two holes is a bit much. If you have children who will need to use the gate often to get up and down the stairs, I would reconsider buying this.
