I bought this sharpener to select the sharpness. The instructions do not specify sharpening options. After much frustration and browsing Revain for similar sharpeners, I finally realized that none of the screw sharpeners had a choice. It's all about sharpening time! 5 seconds for Acute, 4 seconds for Normal, and 3 seconds for Dull. For real? Isn't that just common sense? Less time = blunter pen. This is not an option, maybe an end user tip. Oh, don't forget to rotate the pencil while sharpening to avoid an uneven shave.
