Review on 🔧 IWISS SN-28B Crimping Tool: Effortless AWG28-18 Dupont Pin Crimping Solution by Jerry Mangum

A very well made crimping tool but it is NOT designed for use with JST XH contacts which is the main reason I ordered. . JST pins are older series with longer ferrules. The jaws of the tool are approximately 7mm thick and split in two stages are 3.5mm thick. The idea is that a narrower step will securely crimp the bare wire while a wider step will crimp the insulation. However, JST-XH pins only have a maximum crimp length of 2.5mm for bare wires, so this tool can damage either the mating area or the insulation. The tool works very well with the "Dupont" pins you would use to connect a regular 0.1" center plug to 0.25" square post.
