I first filled this teapot to the brim with water and then measured it. It ONLY holds 32 oz. Second, there is no silicone band or notch on the lid to secure it to the jug so it will NOT stay on the jug unless you are using a tea box or holding the lid while pouring. Third, the brew basket is too short, requiring a full pot of 32oz tea to be brewed each time, otherwise the water will not fully cover and expand the tea. Fourth, the spout is very narrow and will splatter unless poured very, very slowly. Fifth, the handle is too small, making it impossible to grasp and difficult to hold. As an avid tea drinker, I take the functionality of my teapots, all 17 teapots, very seriously. This teapot is NOT CONVENIENTLY designed for everyday use by the average tea drinker. It is ideal for children's tea drinking, but no more. The teapot should not only be aesthetic, but also practical and pleasant to use. This kettle is NONE of those things.
