My kids didn't like it at first because it's not as soft as Play-Doh (when new). They wanted to use molds to make things, but I showed them that this type of clay is better for sculpting with tools and your hands. The fact that they could play with him and he did the same a few days later amazed them. It also helps my kids who have weak hands and I love that they have to use their strength a little more. It's similar to Play-Doh after it's been used and put away a few times, except it's not "crunchy"; it still feels smooth (with a slightly oily feel) and supple.
