Review on GIGABYTE B550 AORUS PRO: Next-Gen Gaming Motherboard with PCIe4, Dual M.2, and RGB Fusion 2.0 by Joseph Neal

Fits my needs exactly

Part of my personal decor now. Originally having a different motherboard in mind, this item was out of stock and had to be shipped quickly, even though it cost $10 more. The big benefit I saw was more USB 2.0 ports on the motherboard to connect basic devices like keyboard, mouse, printer and scanner, leaving USB 3.1/3.2 free for devices that need it. My only setback was that the motherboard only has a USB 3.1 connector, so I plugged in the case connector. While I'm not a fan of RGB lighting, it has a discrete array of lights that can be adjusted or turned off. The manufacturer's utility is very useful as it can throttle application traffic, which improved my gaming performance. There are enough fan connectors to install the necessary case fans. In my case I had to install 2 140mm fans from the top but the ports had to be at the bottom as their cables were too short to reach the ports so I had to use extensions but it didn't bother cable management. Excellent mother. board for work.
