The product is described as backlit, but the light is off. So if you want to read the temperature, you have to go to the device and press the button. The light stays on for a few seconds and then goes off again. This makes it really useless because if I get close enough to turn on the light I can see the display! Images in advertisements are misleading because they are enlarged on a computer screen. I was extremely unsatisfied with that. The time is longer than the temperature measurement. I have a watch but I need temperature readings.
