Review on ๐Ÿง„ MLGB 6L Black Garlic Fermenter, Kimchi Machine, Sweet Rice Wine Maker: Full Automatic Natto Maker & Yogurt Pot by Angela Smith

Revainrating 4 out of 5

WORKS WELL BUT. suitable for small household appliances

CONS1. I deducted 1 star for the poor quality of the instructions. The video on the Revain website is confusing and not very helpful.2. Be careful of the power cord when moving the device after it has started. The connection on the device I received is very weak and easily breaks on impact. OTHER - Garlic is not just garlic - this is the element you have the most control over. I buy Polar Black Garlic, which is excellent, but it's made from "Solo" garlic, a special type of garlic that isn't readily available. Instead of forming a head made up of multiple cloves, solo garlic is a very large clove. Solo variety black garlic is sweet when eaten plain, which I do. The black garlic I made using loose garlic from the local grocery store is slightly bitter when eaten plain, so you might be disappointed if you buy black garlic. I will experiment with elephant garlic, which is naturally softer, and other soft-necked garlic. I will try to update later. SETTING BLACK GARLIC. Another review recommended setting it to "Garlic Solo". I'm not sure if this recommendation is based on experimentation. As I mentioned above, "solo garlic" is a special variety of garlic that produces a very large clove instead of a head. Instead, I used the "Garlic" setting and checked after 7 days. After 7 days it was completely black but a bit firmer than the commercial black garlic I buy so I decided to leave it on for another 2 days. Unfortunately, I hit a power cable and it lost its electrical connection, so the experiment continues. Otherwise, the finished product was quite good, if a bit bitter. I'll try this in recipes to see if bitterness is obvious and update.
