The stand meets my immediate needs. Extra hands are required for assembly if you are not used to assembling this type of items. The base and mainstay are heavy and the first two components to fit together. Here's a tip for the inexperienced. When screwing the 3 main screws into the base, place a piece of tape or masking tape over the screw heads to secure the main support. On the opposite side, tape the edges of the plastic seat that the post sits in. Then remove some tape from one screw, align and hand tighten the screw. Go to the other end and do the same. Save the middle screw for last. You can then remove all the tape and tighten all the screws. When installing the top bracket to the support beam, slightly tighten the screws for each screw that crosses from screw to screw. Also, two locking mechanisms touch the bracket and then begin to move left or right. You must tighten the screws to reduce play in the mounting bracket. The screws on my TV were too short for the bracket. Be sure to check the thread depth on the included screws to ensure the best fit and support. That's all.
