Works like a charm. The plumber who installed my hot water tank came to my home four times and couldn't find an obvious gas leak. Of course, their technology was soap and water, and they failed miserably. The gas company came out and confirmed my concerns. I ordered this unit and called the plumber for the fifth time. I put this little device in the general area of the leak and "presto", the leak is found and fixed. Needless to say, the plumbers were embarrassed that they couldn't find and fix the leak they caused. I advised them to get their boss's order and put one of these devices in each tool box.
