The wheel guard is a plastic cap that prevents your iPod from being used while it is attached. The sturdy leather is so thick and bulky that unless you pull out your knife and scissors like I did, your Itrip won't fit. It only took me a few minutes to cut off enough of the excess to fit. The hard skin is rubbery and thick, but not so thick that the iPod looks clunky or odd. The belt clip is useless. It just spins like crazy. Not a bad product but I really wish they would say it's not compatible with Itrip. However, it protects your iPod if you drop it, which is the main thing.
