They're not bad, although you do need to learn how to use them. I've found that placing a pillow under one end really helps with weight distribution. The most annoying thing about them and what needs to be changed is that the back end of these needles is not big enough to hold the stitches. Before I finally went out and bought a metal washer to fit over the end and hold my seams, I had to restart my project 4 times due to lost seams.
