When I first received the cutter, read all the instructions and watched the video, I thought this cutter was just what I was looking for. I cut off the bottoms of the bottles to make bells. Well after playing with it for a while I decided to send it back as it didn't seem able to do what I wanted. The next day, however, my husband and I took it out of the packaging and examined it a little. I cut out a few bottles but it takes time to figure out the settings. I haven't had a chance to cut bottles again so my review is a bit limited. I plan to update my review in the near future after looking at a few more bottles. I would also like to add that this is the second bottle cutter I've bought, the first one didn't work at all. Also, a lot depends on how you try to separate the bottle, hot/ice water, or candle/ice water. I've tried both and had some success with both, depending in part on the thickness of the glass.
