It gets 1 star because it is a shampoo, so that part is not misleading.However, it comes out of the can the color of old, reddish brown motor oil and the consistency of water. Tinted my hair a yellow ash brown, which is pretty much what I'd expect from the color out of the bottle. Took 2 shampoos with a clarifying shampoo to get rid of the tint.Perhaps this is a bad bottle, but I am not going to order another or seek replacement of this one to test that.Purchased In Jan 2013, lot code SO6236 (or perhaps 906236, hard to read).
