Died after 10 months - no guarantee
The device worked well and only now I think that it short-circuited and blocked my computer. Got it back on reboot and the two displays attached to it are black. I've tried each display individually and both work perfectly. I changed the USB port and checked the cables again, but nothing changed. There seems to be a faint electrical smell coming from the main junction box. I'm assuming the cheap electronics are blown. I'll crack it, but most likely I won't be able to fix it. I wouldn't recommend this unit to anyone and without a backup guarantee it's a waste of money. Get something from Star-Tech (3 year) or Mono-Price (1 year) warranty.
