This is a decent flaring tool for the price. Just keep in mind that this is for 37 degree flashes, which aren't your typical sanitary flashes. Flare fittings that you can purchase at your local supply store generally have a 45 degree flare. If you use JIC fittings or AN fittings, which are almost the same, the required flare is 37 degrees. I didn't have much trouble with this tool, although I did wonder how tight I had to tighten the clamp around the pipe. I was a little concerned that I would break the hose I was using. I went ahead and clamped the pipe to the point where the clamp parts met and had no problems with the flares or fittings I used.
