my boy is a little smaller (he is almost 2.5 years old 9-12 months waist fits him so he is actually quite small) and to my surprise they fit his thin waist, since no pants ever fit around his waist, but these are no streams! However, they are quite large just below the waist, which causes it to bulge a bit. Which looks a little weird but not so bad not to wear it. The elastic is not very stiff so they stretch well. I don't think they will be uncomfortable for a bigger child. The shirt is also wider compared to the length. But again, don't worry. I can see we're getting quite a bit of wear and tear from this outfit. I would definitely buy it again and/or recommend it.
