So I bought this little bug for my Dell t30 server as Dell in its infinite wisdom introduced a bios many months ago released an update that disables the onboard m.2 and I needed to add a working m.2 drive for my Plex server to have a slightly faster transcoding device. Fast forward to unboxing day. Not a single piece of this thing was assembled, okay, no big deal right? I'm just very picky about my time, but this information horse has moved forward. Many small screws and a few selected words later and the thing was ready to go. Plugging this thing into my server was easy enough, and booting into Windows Server 2019 and managing disks to mount and format the new m.2 onboard the new PCIe controller was hassle-free. a problem, if somewhat disconcerting, when you open the box and find every detail in its own pocket.
