I've been using the headphones for a week now. The MT 2 are still my go-to headphones and I will definitely keep them. The new firmware update fixes many of the initial bugs that most people complained about, like background white noise and transparency mode hum. They're still there, but much less noticeable. In fact, now you have to focus to pick them up. Higher frequency music was a bit boring when it was first released. This was also fixed with a patch. However, there are still a few things that future firmware updates will not fix. Let's start with these first. Cons: 1. There is a noticeable audio lag when playing games on a PC or watching Youtube videos on a phone. I tested the Bluetooth audio latency on Youtube and it is around 3/10 seconds or 300ms. This is most likely because the TW 2 STILL has a master and slave design. Also, APTX HD is not supported. If you want to use these headphones for cozy gaming sessions, look elsewhere. The Samsung Galaxy headphones are more responsive. Due to the design of master and slave, you also can't use the left earphone separately.2. ANC works, but the effect is disappointing. I expected ANC to be at least on par with my BOSE Quietcomfort wired headphones I bought 8 years ago (that's the pre-Quietcomfort 20 series). Unfortunately, there wasn't much of a difference between ANC on and off. You only notice ANC when you turn on transparency mode.3. The call quality is the worst of all my headphones (I have Bose Sound Sport, Jabra Elite 65T, Samsung Galaxy Bud, Sony WF-1000XM3 and Powerbeats Pro). I was hoping to use it as a voice recorder for the dragon in the epic to replace plantronics wireless. The dragon doesn't understand what I'm saying. When I call with MT2 the other person on the phone asks if I'm in the pool or worse the toilet.4. Because you can't hear your own voice, you look like an idiot. Whether you have active noise cancellation or transparency mode on or off, this earbud will always be in your ears. There's no feedback from your voice, so you can't tell if you're screaming or not. PROS: 1. The sound quality is amazing, especially after the firmware update! After trying on a few dozen headphones and owning 5 of them, these are the best sounds I've ever heard in Bluetooth headphones. As a music lover, you should of course generally avoid Bluetooth and headphones. Excellent comfort considering they are ANC headphones. A lot of ANC headphones hurt my ears after prolonged use, but not the TW 2. Despite being a snug fit, they don't hurt and I've had moments where I forgot I was wearing them. They stick out of your ears so everyone will know you have them.3. The best natural sounding transparency mode I've ever heard. They look so natural, especially now that the buzzing background noise has died down and the white noise is quieter. One of the downsides is that when you go running with them, there's a lot of wind blowing into the mic. You can enable ANC to turn this off completely, but then you run the risk of getting too close to cars/people/animals etc. Let's face it folks. If you buy the TW 2, buy it because you want the best sounding headphones and you have money to spend. There's no reason for it other than to have better sound without having to switch to headsets. If you're looking for the best call quality with no audio delay, choose the Jabra Elite 75t. If you want the best ANC, go for the Sony WF-1000XM3. If you want the best bass, get the Powerbeats Pro. If you're looking for the best sounding headphones and you're not a music lover, get the Momentum True Wireless 2.
