You should have seen the faces of my 9 year old grandchildren when we built this microscope. When we started looking at the slide samples, he was intrigued. No joysticks, no video games. He was intrigued when we started trying other samples he found for us. He discovered a whole new world right under his nose. The package (which was packaged very well) contained everything you needed to get started. I was surprised that the 9-year-old hadn't seen a microscope in any of his classes. A whole new world opened up for him. I would highly recommend this microscope to anyone with a young, inquisitive mind in the house. Excellent buy for the price.
