Review on RALEIGH Bikes Training Wheels Youth by Roberto Evans

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great bike for the price

There are better bikes out there but you will spend about $100 more to get to this level. Considering the cost of this bike it is very LIGHT which is probably the most important thing to look for in a 12 inch bike given the weight of the rider. The only two complaints I have are the overly upright riding position and the seat. The upper tube has play in the frame (the hole needs to be tighter. If the bottom bracket were lowered a bit the crank would be in a better position in relation to the seat and the rider could lean more forward, like an adult geometry. However, the geometry is no worse than other 12" bikes you would buy at the department store. This bike is quite stable despite the upright riding position. I solved the loose seatpost problem by wrapping it in a single layer of tape, now it can be tightened securely.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Reliability
