Happy with this purchase

Well built bike. It's easy for a two-year-old to pedal. We're still working on the steering, but this is a good entry-level bike. I can't speak to the assembly, my SIL put it together but it did it pretty quickly with no frustration.

  • New
Cons
  • Unsure

Great bike. Mediocre training wheels.

The bike works great and my son loves it. Assembly is easy, all tools are included. The training wheels appear to be of low quality compared to the rest of the bike. Stickers, even those stuck on by the manufacturer, come off when they get wet (e.g. when driving through puddles).

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Safety

This bike is the WORST

Do not buy this bike. From the moment we opened the box we had problems. First the bike arrived without training wheels. Then the handlebars won't tighten enough to stay upright, so my son can't even ride a bike. I wish I could go to Target and buy a $50 bike. And to solve problems, Revain will not help you after 30 days. At this point, you must provide the bike company with all of these documents. It's weird these days. Avoid this bike.

Raleigh have a good product and this kids bike is no exception

Bought this bike for my 2.5 year old son. Of course I wanted his first bike to be special and well made. Raleigh is a good product and this kids bike is no exception. Installation was easy, requiring only a 14mm socket for the seatpost, a 6mm hex for the neck and a 15mm spanner for everything else. The bell is well fixed and within reach of its small numbers, the flag lasted less than a minute, both were purchased separately.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Disappointed with the quality

Considering the price I am disappointed with the quality of the bike. The handlebar grips broke the first time our son dropped the bike on the ground (see photo). It has an impeller that has been abused a lot more and the grips are strong and barely scratched. I would expect the same from a bike intended as a first training bike. Some spills are to be expected. We started with training wheels so our son could feel the transition from a balance bike to a pedal bike with brakes and they suck…

Great bike for the price

There are better bikes out there but you will spend about $100 more to get to this level. Considering the cost of this bike it is very LIGHT which is probably the most important thing to look for in a 12 inch bike given the weight of the rider. The only two complaints I have are the overly upright riding position and the seat. The upper tube has play in the frame (the hole needs to be tighter. If the bottom bracket were lowered a bit the crank would be in a better position in relation to the…
