Instruments are fine if you don't mind being out of sight during the day. They're also good if you want your readings to be under 2 psi. I modified mine with a clear piece of acrylic I picked up from a home store to replace the glass so I could see the sensor clearly during the day. Both photos are clear acrylic. With tinted glass, the light emitted by the sensor is barely enough to see, but not enough to read the sensor quickly and clearly. Additionally, the needle will move about 2 psi (low reading) over time (shown in day photo). There is a way to adjust the position of the needle by pushing or pulling the mechanism inwards with a small hex key. My first manometer broke, so I bought this manometer again. The same low reading problem bothered the second. I think these things are just poorly done. It's a shame though as it seems to be a decent sensor minus the 2 issues I mentioned. Spend a little more and get something better.
