I wanted the most compact, strong, well made and waterproof cable connector and this product proved to be the best option. It's designed to be submersible in water to a depth of 12 feet, and since I plan to only use it outdoors in mild weather, that should be a big safety factor. The most important point to consider is the tools required for a successful installation. a good quality wire stripper, needle nose pliers, a very small flathead screwdriver, and a couple of wrenches. Bare wires must be accurately cut and bent, the mounting screws have a small diameter. There are different sizes of wire cord seals that you need to test. All parts must be assembled in the exact order, otherwise you will have to disassemble and repeat the process. Installing three wires on each side was difficult; there is a possibility for a fourth cable, but the level of difficulty of the installation will be much higher. When I was done, I wrapped the entire assembly in duct tape to keep components from coming loose. Happy with the final product, will buy again in the future.
